Wind Turbines Heading to Germany

October 1, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems has received a German order for its V80-2.0 MW wind turbines. The new order, received from Energiequelle GmbH through the wholly-owned subsidiary Vestas Deutschland GmbH, covers 28 wind turbine units and was worth about US$55 million. The turbines are to be delivered during 2002 and 2003 for installation at wind farms in Brandenburg, Lower Saxony, Saxony, Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate.
