Wind Turbines for New York’s Queensboro Bridge

[] An effort is underway to install small wind turbines along the Queensboro Bridge in New York City. This project is designed to engage the community in a dialogue about the potential of wind and other alternative energies in an urban setting. A short (7 minute) video shows the origin of the project and includes interviews with Climate Scientist Dr. Cynthia Rosenzweig on the effects of global warming on the New York region and Technical Designer Markus Maurette on the creation of a computer model of the bridge fitted with various wind turbine designs.
