Wind Turbine Co. Back in Business

July 8, 2003 [SolarAccess.com]Atlantic Orient Corporation (AOC), has emerged from bankruptcy court and will officially restart operations with offices in Vermont and Prince Edward Island, Canada. The expansion of operations to Prince Edward Island enables AOC to meet the growing demand for AOC’s primary product – the AOC Model15/50 50kW wind turbine. The AOC 15/50 is designed for medium-size industrial, agricultural, municipal and village power applications. The AOC wind turbine is often used to supplement diesel generators in remote communities inaccessible to larger wind turbines or utility grids. The turbine is also used by utility customers wishing to reduce their purchase of utility power by generating some or all of their own power. Its size enables it to be easily transported yet still powerful enough to supply electricity for 15 to 25 homes, said the company.
