Wind Power Stocks Rising

April 16, 2002 [] Danish wind turbine manufacturers Vestas Wind Systems and NEG Micon have seen their shares go up an average of 40 percent since decision last month by the US Senate to extend the wind energy production tax credit. The sector has become much more competitive in a short time, for example Vestas has acquired Spain’s Gamesa. Another competitor General Electric has strengthened itself with its purchase of Enron Wind.
