Wind Power Green Tags for Rhode Island

April 1, 2004 [] Wind Energy Marketer, Community Energy, (CEI), announced the availability of NewWind Energy to all Rhode Island residential and small-commercial electric customers through Narragansett Electric’s new GreenUp program. Building on the success of similar programs in Massachusetts and New York, CEI expects residential wind energy enrollments in New England to support the development of new wind energy resources in New England. CEI begins its residential and small business campaign in Rhode Island with the launch of the National Grid GreenUp program that allows residential and small business customers in Narragansett Electric service territory, which spans the state of Rhode Island, to choose renewable energy as part of their standard offer electric service. Bill inserts which give customers the ability to choose the Community Energy offering are being delivered to each electric customer’s mailbox with their April Narragansett Electric bill.
