Wind Power Going to Northern Alaska

Waitsfield, Vermont [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Thirteen wind turbines are due to be installed in northern Alaska in the coming years. The NorthWind 100-kilowatt turbines, which will service 52 remote villages, are designed for cold weather environments. The project is a collaboration between Northern Power and two Alaskan-based engineering firms.
