Wind Farm Plans Halted in Britain

July 22, 2002 [] Plans for a multi-million dollar wind farm in Great Britain have been halted after the British Ministry of Defense voiced fears it would interfere with radar signals. The facility on the Merseyside coast, which was due to be completed in 2004, has now been abandoned by officials. A plan for a wind farm in Nevada in the US was similarly cancelled recently for fears of radar interference.
