Wind Farm Halfway There

April 4, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Nordex and its Japanese partner, Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI), completed the wind farm “Minami Osumi 1” for Kyushu Electric Power at the end of February. In this first construction phase, ten N60/1.3 kW turbines were connected to the grid. The farm, situated at the southern end of the island of Kyushu, will eventually grow to 20 N60 turbines and a capacity of 26 MW.
