Wind Farm Construction Set for S. Australia

July 29, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] South Australia’s independent industry regulator, has granted a license to Babcock & Brown Windpower who will build the largest wind farm in Australia at Lake Bonney. Construction of the 46 wind turbines will begin in September 2002. Meanwhile the South Australian government has announced tough regulations for all wind farms to appease public concern over their visual and environmental impacts.
