Wind Energy Stats from India

August 2, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] The cumulative generation of all the Wind Electric Generators installed in various parts of India through May 2002 is 9.16 billion kWh. This has saved about 3.7 million tons of coal-fired generation thus avoiding approximately 60 thousand tons Sulphur di-oxide, 41 thousand tons of Nitrogen oxide, 9.2 million tons of Carbon dioxide and 4.9 thousand tons of particulates to be generated.
