Wind Energy Project Contractors Chosen

[] Wind power plant developer Schneider Power of Canada has selected Amec Americas, Hatch, and MacViro Consultants as its engineering and environmental contractors for the development of the Providence Bay Wind Farm. Providence Bay will be a 20 MW, low-impact wind energy project situated on the south shore of Manitoulin Island. The electricity generated at the farm will be sold under long-term power purchase agreements to provincial utilities. Amec Americas was selected as the project engineer, Hatch will oversee the wind park site design and review, and MacViro Consultants was named as independent monitor for environmental assessments and permitting.
