Wind Energy Faces Local Opposition to Wind Turbine Installation in England

2002-02-15 [] Renewable energy company Ecotricity is facing local opposition to their plans to build three, 85 meter wind turbines in rural England. Nearly 200 people attended a meeting to discuss the plan proposed for land owned by a farmer that would generate enough electricity to power 3400 homes. The majority of those attending the meeting were against the plan, fearing that it would decrease their home values by up to 30 percent.
