Hamburg, Germany [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] Nordex has won a further contract from Turkey for 10 of its N90/2500 turbines, which are to be supplied for the Bandirma III wind farm as of autumn 2009.
The Bandirma III is the first wind farm project for As Makinsan, a group of companies engaged in tourism as well as textiles, construction and selling petrol. Nordex will be constructing the 25 MW wind farm in flat grasslands close to the port city of Bandirma in western Turkey.
With wind speeds averaging 7.4 m/s, it will achieve an annual yield of around 72 GWh, the company says.
As Makinsan has also signed a premium service contract with Nordex.
