Turbine-generator sought for Ireland’s 1.294-MW Glen Kilsheelan small hydro project

Ecotricity Ltd. seeks bids to supply a turbine-generator for the 1.294-MW Glen Kilsheelan small hydro project near Clonmel, Ireland. Bids are due February 28.

Ecotricity is a British green energy consortium that promotes renewable energy from hydropower, wind, solar and ocean energy. Ireland, which has about 50 small hydro projects on line, has been promoting small hydro and other renewable energy for more than a decade. (HydroWorld 7/4/06)

Ecotricity seeks bids to supply a single 1.294-kW Pelton turbine and generator for the Glen Kilsheelan project to be built on the Glashna River.
