Norway utility seeks turbines for 3.25-MW Bjorndalen, 400-kW Dauremal

SFE Produksjon AS of Norway invites applications for pre-qualification to supply replacement Francis turbines to the 3.25-MW Bjorndalen and 400-kW Dauremal hydroelectric projects in Norway’s Sogn og Fjordane County. Responses are due January 12, 2009.

SFE seeks one Francis turbine with a rated head of 81 meters, a flow of 5.7 cms, and a nominal speed of 600 rpm. It seeks a second Francis unit with a rated head of 147 meters, a flow of 3.4 cms, and a nominal speed of 750 rpm. The work is to be performed from April 2009 through October 2010.
