Turbine Agreements Will Supply Two PEI Wind Parks

Toronto, Ontario [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Ventus Energy entered into turbine supply agreements with the Vestas Group for the supply of 11 V80 1.8-megawatt (MW) wind turbines and an additional 44 V80 1.8-MW wind turbines, subject to the successful test of the first 11 units at the West Cape Wind Park in Prince Edward Island (PEI). Ventus Energy also ordered three V90 3-MW wind turbines for the Norway Wind Park, also located in PEI. Both of these wind farms are controlled 100% by Ventus Energy Inc. Vestas will supply, erect and commission the wind turbines for the projects as well as provide warranty, maintenance and service support for a five year period. Shipment of the wind turbines will begin in early 2007. The second phase of the West Cape Wind Park is planned for 2008.
