Tradewinds Forum Tackles Grid Issues

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] South Australia’s Minister for Energy, The Hon. Pat Conlon, will be addressing delegates at AusWEA’s second Tradewinds Forum, Wind Energy and a stable grid system – planning for the future, along with a number of other reknowned experts on wind energy grid issues. The forum, being held in Adelaide on April 12, will bring together key stakeholders to discuss grid issues and ideas for continued energy diversity, wind energy growth, and stable grid management. The integration of new energy technologies into the electricity grid introduces a range of new considerations and challenges for managing flow stability. As wind energy capacity and contribution increases in South Australia these challenges are being identified and potential solutions crafted. Two experts will share their recent findings on integrating wind power into the grid: Vince Duffy from the Ministerial Council for Energy’s Wind Energy Policy Working Group; and Craig Oakshott from South Australia’s Electricity Supply Industry Planning Council (ESIPC).
