Suzlon Receives 42.5-MW Order from Spain

Suzlon Wind Energy AS, the Europe and Latin America marketing arm of Suzlon Energy Limited, announced that it has received orders, totaling 42.5 megawatts (MW) of wind turbine capacity, from Eolia Renovables SRC.

The contract is to be supplied through 22 units of Suzlon’s S88 – 2.1-MW turbines. Eolia Renovables SRC S.A. has previously relied on Suzlon for the turn-key erection of a wind farm in Jerez (42.5 MW), which is expected to begin generation early this year.

“It’s vital for us to be present in one of the largest markets for renewable energy in the world, and we are extremely pleased to partner up with such a professional client,” said Andre Horbach, CEO of Suzlon Group.
