Spanish Wind Energy Company Targets US

May 24, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] Grupo Auxiliar Metalurgico SA (GAMESA) has signed an accord with Navitas to develop wind farm projects in the United States. Gamesa said it will control 75 percent of a new company, which will be set up to manage the projects. Navitas is currently developing projects for a total capacity of 780 MW and has an objective of installing an additional 1,000 MW in new wind farms in pre-selected areas.
