Spanish Company to Build Tunisian Wind Farm

May 28, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] Endesa SA said its Made Technologies Renovables SA unit has won a €7.8 million (US$7.1 million) project from state-owned Societe Tunisiene de L’Electricite et du Gaz to construct a wind farm in Tunis. Endesa said the contract covers the building of 12 wind turbines with total generating capacity of 8.8 MW. Work on the installations will begin in August and is due to be completed by December.
