Spain Wind Power Ahead of Schedule

April 1, 2003 [] Spain’s Iberdrola said it will have 2,600 MW of installed wind energy capacity by the end of 2003, 70 percent of the target established in its 2002-2006 strategic plan. Iberdrola’s IbeRenova unit has formalized the sale of its 37 percent stake in Energia Hidroelectrica de Navarra in exchange for wind farm assets in Castilla-La Mancha and €131 million (US$143 million) in cash.
