Spain Government Plans Wind Energy Remuneration Cap

Madrid, Spain [AFX News Limited] Spain’s Ministry of Industry is planning to impose a ceiling on the remuneration electricity generators receive for their wind farm production, La Gaceta de los Negocios reported citing a draft law. According to La Gaceta, the government plans to impose the ceiling to curb the advantages wind farm operators are taking of high oil prices, which in turn have sent pool prices soaring.
