REpower & Valorem Reach 40-MW Turbine Deal

REpower Systems AG and French wind farm developer Valorem have signed agreements for the supply and construction of a total of 21 wind turbines. The REpower MM92 wind power plants, each with a rated power of 2.05 megawatts (MW) and a hub height of 80 meters, are intended for five wind farms projects in the Vendée and Loire Atlantique regions in the West of France. The turbines are set to be supplied and erected between March and June 2010.

The turbines will supply five wind parks Saint Michel Chef Chef, La Marne, La Limouzinière, La Planche and Saint Philbert. The deals are being executed by the company’s French subsidiary REpower S.A.S., based in Paris.

“The agreement is a foundation stone for the future close collaboration between Valorem and REpower because we hope to be writing new chapters about this partnership in time to come based on further projects that are being planned,” said Olivier Perot, vice president of REpower S.A.S.
