Hamburg, Germany [RenewableEnergyWorld.com] REpower Systems and Maia Eolis, have signed agreements for the delivery of 258 megawatts (MW) of wind turbines. REpower will supply Maia Eolis with a total of 129 REpower MM82 wind turbines by 2011.
In addition, REpower signed a framework agreement was signed with Maïa Power for the delivery of 40 MM82 turbines with a total capacity of 80 MW which are to be supplied between 2008 and 2011.
At the end of 2006, Maïa Sonnier and Gaz de France founded the joint wind power company Maïa Eolis. The company intents to increase its installed wind power capacity to 1,000 MW by 2012.
