Quebec company contracts for turbine manufacturing facilities

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] Marmen Inc., a Quebec company specializing in high-precision machining, fabrication and mechanical assembly of parts of all sizes, has contracted for the construction of two wind turbine manufacturing facilities in Matane. The facilities, which are expected to be up and running by September, will be used for tower fabrication and nacelle assembly. Marmen is under contract to GE Energy, which was selected to supply turbines for 990 MW worth of wind power projects to be installed on the Gaspe Peninsula between 2006 and 2012.
