Proven Energy Ltd. Invites Farmers to “Windcrofting”

Stewarton, Ayrshire, Scotland [] Proven Energy Ltd., a small-scale wind turbine supplier, unveiled plans to create a cluster of mini-wind farms, working to supply clean electricity to the UK. Called Windcrofting, the project seeks to begin seven projects nationwide by recruiting 3000 farmers. The combined power generation is estimated to be equivalent to a nuclear power station, states the release. A mini wind farm uses human-scale 15 kilowatt (kW) wind turbines from Proven. Suitable farms, crofts and small holdings across the UK may apply to have a mini wind farm installed in their grounds. Farmers using Windcrofting wind turbines will get rental for the space that the wind turbines occupy and benefit from reduced energy prices.
