Partnership for New England Wind Power

April 9, 2004 [SolarAccess.com] Catamount Energy and Marubeni Power International secured an agreement between the two that provides for the exclusive arrangement for wind energy development throughout New England, New York, and Pennsylvania. Catamount is a developer, owner, and operator of wind energy projects, while Marubeni Power International is a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation, one of Japan’s largest general trading companies. Marubeni develops, owns, and operates power projects around the world and currently owns over 2,000 net megawatts of generating capacity, including over 500 megawatts of renewable energy generation. The companies did not go on to describe the specifics of the arrangement.
