This year’s HydroVision International event will be buzzing about marine energy, with a full day of learning in the Marine Energy Symposium and a special gathering place in the exhibit hall — the Marine Energy Marketplace.
The Marine Energy Symposium takes place Wednesday, July 24, and offers practical, technical information that can help advance device development and deployment. The symposium features five panel discussion sessions on hot topics in marine energy, including how this technology fits into the Blue Economy, specific applications where marine energy can shine, and the supply chain for marine energy.
HydroVision International is the perfect place to host this discussion, as it is the world’s largest hydro industry event and will attract well over 3,000 attendees and more than 300 companies that provide products and services to the global hydro community. Many of the companies already exhibiting have a vital place IN the marine energy supply chain.
For example, Vigor is constructing the Ocean Energy OE Buoy wave energy converter at its Portland facilities. This converter is scheduled to be deployed at the U.S. Navy Wave Energy Test Site in Hawaii later this year.
The Marine Energy Marketplace will feature tabletop displays from companies involved in this market sector, poster displays on cutting-edge marine energy technology and projects, and seating areas for informal dialogue and idea exchange.
