Government utility Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) seeks bids from consultants to determine Costa Rica’s ocean energy potential for electricity generation. Bids are due December 7.
ICE seeks analysis of electricity generation potential of waves, currents, tides, and other marine sources on its Caribbean and Pacific coasts. The selected consultant is to: determine theoretical and technical potential for electricity generation; establish national zoning and prioritization of ocean energy potential; and design a research program based on technical criteria to measure parameters of ocean energy potential.
The work is to require 30 consultant days over six months with a budget of US$57,000.
