Novera Plans 20 MW of UK Wind Farms

Novera Energy plc, announced that it has submitted planning applications for two wind farms in Northumberland. Novera now has a total of six sites in planning and said that it expects to submit two further applications for wind developments before the year end.

The first application, for the Wingates Wind Farm, was made to Alnwick District Council and calls for six turbines with an anticipated total capacity of 12-15 MW to be located approximately six kilometers south of Longframlington. The second, for the Todd Hill Wind Farm, was made to Castle Morpeth District Council and calls for four turbines with an anticipated total capacity of 8-10 MW to be located at a site approximately six kilometers northwest of Morpeth.

Novera already has a wind portfolio that includes the 15-MW Mynydd Clogau Wind Farm in mid-Wales which has been in production since January 2006, the 30-MW Lissett Airfield Wind Farm which is under construction and two sites that are in development.
