New Wind Turbines for Tehachapi

September 12,2003 [SolarAccess.com] GE Wind Energy will supply two 1.5 MW wind turbines to Coram Energy, for a wind farm in Tehachapi, California. Sited approximately 150 miles from Los Angeles, the Coram Energy Project will have a capacity of three MW of power. GE Wind expects the installation to generate 9,198,000 kWh of electricity per year, which is enough clean, renewable energy to supply the annual needs of about 1,000 average American households. The power generated will be sold to Southern California Edison. Construction will begin during October, 2003 with completion expected in December, 2003.
