New Mexico Utility Seeks RPS Changes

January 24, 2003 [SolarAccess.com Public Service Company of New Mexico (PNM) filed a request with the state’s Public Regulation Commission asking the agency to hold a new hearing on the state’s renewable-energy rule enacted last month requiring utilities to generate an increasing amount of their electricity from renewable sources such as wind and solar power. PNM’s intention is for the RPS to be voluntary not mandatory.
