New 125-MW Texas Wind Farm Providing Energy to TXU

Dallas, Texas [] TXU Wholesale, a subsidiary of TXU Corp., and Airtricity, based in Dublin, Ireland, announced that Airtricity has completed construction of the Forest Creek Wind Farm, increasing TXU Wholesale’s renewable energy capacity by 125 megawatts (MW). The wind farm, about 25 miles southeast of Big Spring, Texas, generates electricity from 54 2.3-MW Siemens wind turbines. Airtricity owns and operates the facility.
