Naturally Windy

New England could be the future home of 11 wind power projects should they jump the many hurdles they face on their journey. According to a story in the Boston Globe by environmental reporter Beth Daley, “If built, these projects would generate enough electricity to light more than 500,000 homes – about 4 percent of the region’s energy use – turning what has long been seen as a clean but insignificant energy source into an important part of the supply.” It is clear on a national and international scale that wind is not insignificant anymore. Hopefully for New Englanders, politicians and residents will see the light.
