Multi-Axis Wind Project Nears Completion

May 14, 2004 [] Mass Megawatts plans to complete work this spring on its 20 kW project near Springfield, Massachusetts. The Multiaxis Turbosystem project will have live data reports on the web site with a video. The wind energy system will incorporate information and improvements learned from the prototype built in Charlton, Massachusetts. Soon after construction with its new modification is complete in Massachusetts, Mass Megawatts should be prepared to build a 50 kW version to undergo extensive third party review in Wyoming at a site with higher wind velocity. Mass Megawatts said the MAT technology allows production of electricity at less than 2.5 cents per kWh in high wind areas of at least 16 miles per hour average annual wind speed recorded 100 feet above the ground.
