Mini Wind Turbines for City Homes Proposed in Scotland

Glasgow, Scotland [BBC] A pilot project in Glasgow could see mini wind turbines installed on homes to save housing association tenants money on their energy bills. North Glasgow Housing Association is hoping to install the Windsave system on homes, including tower blocks, and its own offices to tackle fuel poverty. Funding of GBP22,000 [USD$41,000] is in place for the pilot project and the first turbine could be installed within months. … A “number of technical difficulties” must be ironed out before the project gets the go-ahead.
