August 12, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] NEG Micon has obtained an order in Spain for 66 NM72/1.5 MW wind turbines from the Spanish company Danta de Energias. The order amounts to approximately EUR 70 million (US$79.5 million). All 66 1.5 MW wind turbines are to be erected in the wind farm called “Sierra de Madero”, which is situated in the province Castilla y Leýn. NEG Micon said the project is an important MW-scale breakthrough on the Spanish market, representing the largest order for MW wind turbines in Spain. Preparation of the site will begin this fall, and installation of the wind turbines is expected to start in the spring of 2004.
