Juhl Wind Developing Community Project in Minnesota

Juhl Wind Inc. recently entered into a feasibility study agreement with a group of local owners to study and develop an estimated 5.4-megawatt community wind farm in Jackson County, Minnesota.

The project incorporates 7 local farmer owner/partners and is located approximately 5 miles southeast of Windom, Minnesota.
“This agreement with Delafield is yet another new project with a group of great local farmer owners that are mobilized to put together a solid wind farm project,” said Dan Juhl, CEO of Juhl Wind.

“The Delafield project is the second new project we recently entered that we have been developing in Minnesota and other portions of the Midwest. While we will continue to develop medium sized wind farms in the 10 to 40 megawatt range, we have been focusing on these types of smaller projects in order to accelerate the development timeline and transmission interconnection process.”
