German Wind Company makes Japanese Inroads

March 12, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Pfleiderer AG’s (G.PFG) Wind Energy GmbH unit and Ebara Corp (J.EBA) said will now be jointly marketing PWE 600 and PWE 1500 wind converters in Japan and neighboring countries in Asia. For Pfleiderer Wind Energy this deal opens up international licensing business and creates the basis for the successful global marketing of its onshore and offshore technology. The jointly run company, named Ebara-Pfleiderer Wind Power Corp, with its head office in Tokyo, will be licensed by Pfleiderer Wind Energy, and this year will be installing the first wind converters in Japan using Pfleiderer technology. Larger wind parks, as well as entry into the markets of other Asian countries, will follow soon.
