EU Clears Siemens’ Acquisition of Bonus Energy

[] The global wind power market in the last few years could be characterized as one of increasing mergers and acquisitions. The European Commission recently gave their final approval to the acquisition of Danish wind power company Bonus Energy by Germany’s powerhouse Siemens. This comes on the heels of NEG Micon’s acquisition by Vestas. Just a few years ago, Enron’s wind power division was scooped up by industrial giant General Electric.
