Enron Wind Sale Approved, Again

May 2, 2002 [SolarAccess.com] A New York bankruptcy judge Tuesday approved the auction sale of Enron Corp.’s wind turbine unit to GE Power Systems for US$358 million after several U.S. creditors objected to the sale. The judge, of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York in Manhattan rejected objections from several creditors when he approved the allocation of two-thirds of the proceeds from the sale of Enron Wind to Enron’s European subsidiaries.
