Energy Grants Fund Wind Farm in No. Iowa

[RenewableEnergyAccess.com] The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Office of Rural Development, has approved $5.4 million in Renewable Energy System and Energy Efficiency Improvement grants to Iowa. One of the seven farms to benefit is the Miller Wind Farm in Britt, which will get $300,000 for the purchase and installation of a Vestas 1650 kW wind turbine. Otherwise, funds will be used to assist farmers, ranchers and rural small businesses in developing renewable energy systems and in making energy-efficient improvements to their operations.
