EDF Energies Nouvelles Gets Order for 150 MW of Wind Turbines from REpower

Paris, France [RenewableEnergyAccess.com] EDF Energies Nouvelles continues its expansion program in the U.S. with orders for 75 wind turbines for 2008. This new order follows a series of orders undertaken for the U.S. continent, including the one announced last March, for a capacity of 276 megawatts (MW) from GE Wind. The turbines, which have a unit capacity of 2 MW, will be supplied by the German company REpower. The order consists of the confirmation of an option booked in 2006 for 38 MW (19 turbines) and of a new contract for 112 MW (56 turbines), thus a total amount of 150 MW. The turbines will be delivered in 2008.
