Econergy Wins Bid for 49.5 MW Wind Energy Project in Costa Rica

Boulder, Colorado [] Econergy International, clean energy and carbon developer, announced that the government-owned electric utility of Costa Rica, has voted to award Econergy and its partners a 20-year contract to build, own, operate and transfer a 49.5 MW wind energy project, Proyecto Eolico Guanacaste. Econergy’s investment in this project is expected to be approximately $12 million. The Proyecto Eolico Guanacaste wind park will be comprised of 55 turbines. Construction is expected to begin in March 2007.
