Developer Issues Freedom Tower Wind RFQ

March 16, 2004 [] World Trade Center Properties, an affiliate of Silverstein Properties, has issued a request for qualifications (RFQ) for parties interested in developing and operating proposed wind power facilities at the new Freedom Tower, the first and tallest office tower to be rebuilt at the World Trade Center site in New York City. Through this RFQ, Word Trade Center Properties hopes to determine interested developers and/or manufacturers for the planning, design, installation, and ongoing operation and maintenance of the wind energy project to be located in the upper “open” portion of the Freedom Tower. The developers have proposed installing wind turbines at the top of the office tower to generate more than 10% of the building’s electricity needs. Responses to the Request for Qualifications are due by April 9. Copies of the RFQ may be requested from Angelo Arzano, fax (212) 298 9500, e-mail
