China’s CNOOC Seeking International Partners on Offshore Wind Power

Boao, China [AFX News Limited XFN-ASIA] CNOOC is looking for international partners to cooperate on offshore wind power generation projects as the company, China’s largest offshore oil producer, looks to broaden its core business base, the firm’s president Fu Chengyu said. Speaking at the Boao Forum for Asia, Fu predicted that offshore wind farms will become a prominent energy source for China over the next 10 to 20 years.
