Green Power Conferences Announces Chilean Renewable Energy Awards
The best Chilean renewable energy projects celebrated on 4th September 2012 in Santiago
LONDON, UK — June 8th 2012 — On the 4th September 2012 form 6:00 PM onwards, The Chilean Renewable Energy Award winners will be announced during a special drinks reception held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Santiago, Chile.
Nominations for the awards are now open and you can vote for your favorite companies across four categories:
- Best Renewable Energy joint venture
- Best pipeline of projects
- Best Renewable Energy Project (installation must have begun in 2012)
- Best independent power producer project

The awards take place at the end of the first day of the Chilean International Renewable Energy Congress. Jo-Anne Duff, event director at Green Power Conferences explains that many nominations have already been received, “The high level of nominations that we have received are testament to the excitement that surrounds the Chilean renewables market. With excellent natural resources for solar, wind and geothermal power, Chile benefits from huge potential that the international renewable energy community is now turning into a reality.”

Many attendees are already confirmed at the congress which includes three events in one; Wind Power Chile, Solar Power Chile and Geo Power Chile. Of the more than 60 speakers expected, confirmations so far include international heavy weights such as Element Power, Vestas, Enel, E.on, Sumitomo Mitsu Banking Corporation, BBVA and the International Finance Corporation (part of the World Bank).
Attendees will be able to move between streams and more than 300 people are expected to attend over the two days. There is also a pre-conference workshop dedicated to companies who are looking to understand how to develop and finance a project in Chile.
