Career Launch into the Wind!

Friday January 9 2015 was a very special day for me. In addition to being my brother’s birthday, it is also when my career decision to re-enter Wind, full-spectrum, really began. First, I receive word that my application to join the tower erection team at a 10 turbine project in Morse, Saskatchewan has been accepted, with first day on Monday Jan 12th!  I wrap up my job in Ft McMurray (now reeling under the plunging oil price), get bus ticket booked, bags packed and on the road 48 hours later, riding the Dog to downtown Calgary, then east to Swift Current.  The project, which is estimated at about 8-10 weeks, features 10 Siemens 2.3/113 power plants, and is being built by Signal Energy Constructors. Cold weather won’t bother me nearly as much after this gig!
