Chattanooga, Tennessee and Atlanta, Georgia – March 27, 2003 [SolarAccess.com] Tennessee Valley Infrastructure Group Inc. (TVIG) and utility management services company Team Associates (TEAM), have formed a strategic alliance designed to strengthen the companies’ positions in the renewable energies and co-generation industries, both in North America and abroad. “The senior level expertise of TEAM’s personnel complements TVIG’s corps of professionals, allowing us to pursue larger and a broader range of energy and infrastructure projects,” said Richard Ector, TVIG founder, president and CEO. “This arrangement supports our commitment to delivering a high level of development excellence while remaining cost competitive.” Under the agreement, TVIG will spearhead business development efforts for wind projects, while TEAM will provide leadership in combined heat and power applications, as well as high-level project management services for project execution. The companies’ shared focus will rest primarily on the wind energy and combined heat and power co-generation markets. “TVIG brings international experience to the partnership, providing TEAM with an entree into new geographic markets and widening the scope of our ability to serve global customers,” said TEAM founder and president, Steve Maehr. “TVIG’s market expertise and approach to infrastructure and energy project development is a perfect fit for our power and utility management services.”
