– Energy Northwest has issued US$70 million in bonds for a wind project, which have been assigned a rating of BBB+ by Fitch. The project will involve 37 turbines, with a generating capability of 48 MW that will be sold to public utilities under long-term purchase agreements. – The Spanish companies, Gamesa and Urbaenergia, want to invest Euro 1.2 billion (Pta 200 billion) to create 40 windfarms with 2,720 turbines. The joint venture will bid for regions that are put up for sale by Valencia’s regional government. Urbaenergia is a subsidiary of the Spanish construction group Dragados, and the two groups each hold a 40 percent stake in Urgeban, which will make the bid. – Third-quarter revenue of Hexcel’s aerospace, space and defence segments grew by US$24 million, with a 12 percent increase in revenue over last year, reflecting continued strength in soft body armour and wind energy applications. The growth could not offset a $30 million decline in revenues from the electronics segment for the same period.
